Fitness Foundation I

Fitness foundation classes are designed to help your dog connect with his or her body through specific exercises that increase strength, flexibility, balance, coordination while also building brain power.

Class size is limited to 6 students to ensure that each person and dog team’s needs are met.

I guarantee that EVERY dog and person will benefit from completing these two courses.

Syllubus:

Week One: NO DOG! This class will be 60-90 minutes.

  • Dog Behavior
  • Discussion of clicker training
  • Human Games
  • Hand-Outs and Homework

Week Two:

  • Working with treats
  • Target Front Feet to Disc
  • Cavaletti 2 poles
  • Sit
  • Sit to Stand
  • Nose Touch
  • Discussion
  • Present Homework

Week 3:

  • Target FF to Disc
  • Sit
  • Sit to Stand
  • Cavaletti 3 poles
  • Sit to Down
  • Move around Cone
  • Pivot
  • Discussion
  • Present Homework

Week 4:

  • Target FF to Disc adding NT
  • Sit to Stand
  • Move around Cone
  • Cavaletti 4 poles
  • Sit to Down
  • Pivot with FF on Disc
  • End of Class Challenge
  • Registration for Foundation Fitness II

If ready, your dog can move on to the second foundations fitness class!
